Im April 2024 geht der Vollmond Talk auf Reisen, nach Oberhausen, ins Café Leerstand: Ein Gegenbesuch bei Fiona Fabulous von Kitev (Kultur im Turm e.V.), die im März bei uns zu Gast war. Wie die Machbarschaft Borsig11 in Dortmund ist Kitev der Oberhausener Partner der Global Sound Academy.
Die Global Sound Academy, die von Globalkultur 2023 als interkommunales Netzwerk der freien Szene ins Leben gerufen wurde, fördert den musikalischen Austausch in der Region und ermöglicht neue Begegnungen und Erfahrungen. „Experimente“ sind das Thema des Gesprächs, an dem sich neben Uri Bülbül und Fiona Fabulous auch die Dortmunder Musiker Jens Pollheide und Andreas Heuser beteiligen.
Der musikalische Teil des Abends geht auf eine Inspiration der Dortmunder Nordstadt Session zurück, bei der Andreas Heuser und Kioomars Musayyebi mit „vielfältigen Saitendialogen“ den Opener spielten und bei der Jamsession unvermittelt auf mehrere Percussionisten trafen.
Ein Experiment, das sich als anschlussfähig erweist: Beim Vollmond Talk in Oberhausen begegnen sich Andreas Heuser (Gitarre), Jens Pollheide (Bass, Flöten), Mohammadreza Mirahmadi (Daf) und Gunnar Nesterov (Percussion), um erneut ins kalte Wasser zu springen und spontan und ungeprobt zusammen zu spielen.
Der Vollmond Talk findet monatlich zum Vollmond statt, eine Lese-, Gesprächs- und Musikrunde mit Uri Bülbül und Gästen. In Begleitung seines Hundes Diego liest, spricht und moderiert der Essener Philosoph und Literat zu Themen der Kultur, Politik und Weisheit.
Der Eintritt ist frei. Die Veranstaltung wird außerdem im Livestream übertragen.

In April 2024, the Full Moon Talk will be travelling to Oberhausen, to Café Leerstand: a return visit to Fiona Fabulous from Kitev (Kultur im Turm e.V.), who was our guest in March. Like Machbarschaft Borsig11 in Dortmund, Kitev is the Oberhausen partner of the Global Sound Academy.
The Global Sound Academy, which was launched by Globalkultur 2023 as an inter-communal network of the independent scene, promotes musical exchange in the region and facilitates new encounters and experiences. ‘Experiments’ is the topic of the discussion, in which Uri Bülbül and Fiona Fabulous will be joined by Dortmund musicians Jens Pollheide and Andreas Heuser.
The musical part of the evening is inspired by the Dortmund Nordstadt Session, where Andreas Heuser and Kioomars Musayyebi played the opener with ‘diverse string dialogues’ and suddenly encountered several percussionists during the jam session.
An experiment that proved to be a success: At Vollmond Talk in Oberhausen, Andreas Heuser (guitar), Jens Pollheide (bass, flutes), Mohammadreza Mirahmadi (daf) and Gunnar Nesterov (percussion) meet up again to jump in at the deep end and play together spontaneously and unrehearsed.
The Full Moon Talk takes place monthly on the full moon, a reading, discussion and music round with Uri Bülbül and guests. Accompanied by his dog Diego, the philosopher and writer from Essen reads, talks and moderates on topics of culture, politics and wisdom.
Admission is free. The event will also be livestreamed.
